Changbai Mountain Enhances Transport Services for Warm and Smooth Spring Festival Travel

Deep News02-13

As the Spring Festival approaches, Changbai Mountain's ice and snow tourism sector is simultaneously experiencing a peak passenger flow during the travel rush. The Transport Bureau of the Changbai Mountain Administrative Committee, in collaboration with Changbai Mountain Tourism Co.,Ltd., has implemented a series of measures to address bottlenecks and pain points in tourist travel. By optimizing transport capacity allocation, upgrading service initiatives, and innovating operational models, they have comprehensively strengthened the transport support system for ice and snow tourism, making travel more convenient, comfortable, and warm for visitors during the holiday period.

To meet the demand for high-speed rail passenger transfers during the travel rush, Changbai Mountain has continuously increased transport capacity, striving to achieve precise synchronization between public transport and rail services. "For each high-speed rail arrival, we have added 10 micro-circulation buses charging 5 yuan, coordinated the temporary deployment of 50 taxis to fill the gap in ride-hailing service capacity, and introduced 100 'tidal' ride-hailing vehicles that operate on a 'peak-in, off-peak-out' model to ensure sufficient transport supply," explained Zhang Zheng, an inspector from the Changbai Mountain Transport Law Enforcement Team.

Currently, the number of micro-circulation buses has been verified and increased to 120. Staff members flexibly dispatch vehicles based on fluctuations in passenger flow, facilitating an efficient shift from "passengers waiting for vehicles" to "vehicles waiting for passengers" at key transport hubs.

In addition to strengthening transport capacity, the Transport Bureau has also optimized the layout of transport hubs, creating integrated transfer stations that combine high-speed rail, buses, taxis, and ride-hailing services. They have introduced a free bus transfer policy and extended bus operating hours until 8 PM daily. These measures have led to a 26.62% year-on-year increase in bus seat occupancy rates, effectively alleviating urban traffic pressure.

Furthermore, warm waiting shelters have been set up at key locations such as the high-speed rail station and tourist distribution centers. Volunteers provide comprehensive services including traffic guidance, travel information, and luggage assistance. Senior officials from the Transport Bureau take turns stationed on the front lines at the high-speed rail station, ensuring every traveler's journey is warmed by considerate measures.

The bureau has also introduced innovative management practices, allowing regulated ride-sharing for taxis at key times and locations during peak periods. They have适时 launched a special tourist route from Changbai Mountain to Xue Ridge and opened up channels for cross-regional taxi operations within the area. As a result, complaints about "difficulty hailing taxis" have decreased by 26.3% year-on-year.

The implementation of the "tidal" ride-hailing vehicle operation model not only precisely meets transport demand during the peak travel season but also effectively prevents恶性竞争 during off-peak periods, achieving a win-win situation for both social and market benefits. This provides solid transport support for the stable and orderly operation of Changbai Mountain's ice and snow tourism market during the Spring Festival travel rush.
