Central Government Allocates 585 Million Yuan to Support Infrastructure Development in 12 Schools

Deep News12-12

The National Development and Reform Commission has allocated 585 million yuan in central government funds to support infrastructure projects at 12 schools in Yunnan Province, including Yunnan Agricultural University. This investment aims to enhance basic education, empower vocational education, and expand higher education capacity in key areas.

To improve basic education and address the shortage of high school placements in regions with large and growing student populations, 205 million yuan has been secured for infrastructure projects at seven high schools, such as Qujing Zhanyi District No.3 High School. This funding will help bridge gaps in education quality and talent development.

For vocational education, 70 million yuan will support three institutions, including Kunming University of Science and Technology, in building industry-education integration training bases. This initiative aims to foster skilled professionals and better serve the province's economic development.

To expand higher education capacity, 310 million yuan has been allocated for student dormitory projects at Yunnan Agricultural University and Yunnan Normal University. This will address housing shortages and improve accommodation conditions, laying a foundation for academic collaboration, innovation platforms, and talent recruitment.

The provincial development authority will continue to seek additional funding, strengthen project planning, and enhance coordination with relevant departments to ensure effective fund management and project performance, further supporting education and talent development in Yunnan.
