2022 年 6 月 24 日，Prosus 的每股资产净值为每股 116.5 欧元，而持有的腾讯股票价值相当于每股 90.6 欧元（或约为其资产净值的 77.8%）。Prosus 股票的最后收盘价为 53.07 欧元，较 Prosus NAV 折让 54%，或与 Prosus 在腾讯所持股份的价值相比折让 41%。此次开启回购计划，亦被市场视为是Naspers和Prosus缓解自身压力考虑。作为腾讯主要股东，Prosus及Naspers曾在2018年和2021年进行过两次减持，并因此获得巨大回报。据公开资料，受疫情等多重因素影响，Prosus及Naspers在全球范围的投资遭遇挑战，两家公司的二级市场市值也遭遇明显缩水。该次减持与前两次不同的是，减持方式将由持续性少量减持推进。有分析师认为，这是Prosus和Naspers尝试在对腾讯影响最小化的基础上，尽最大可能缓解自身压力。据公告，Naspers预计每天出售的腾讯股份数目平均不会超过腾讯日平均成交量的3-5%。在2018年的时候，腾讯的大股东第一次减持：2018年3月时，投资腾讯已达17年的Naspers首次减持腾讯，当时减持了2%，约1.9亿股。当时Naspers承诺至少未来3年将不会进一步出售股份。3年承诺之后，继续卖，20021年4月7日，Prosus发布公告称，计划通过子公司MIH TC Holdings Limited出售至多191,890,000股腾讯控股股票，相当于腾讯已发行股本的2%。交易完成后，Prosus对腾讯的持股将从30.9%降至28.82%。据吴晓波所著《腾讯传》讲述，2001年1月，一位美国人带着一个中国人突然出现在赛格创业园的腾讯办公室里，他操着一口流利的汉语，自我介绍叫网大为（David Wallerstein），是南非MIH中国业务部的副总裁。网大为是在无意中发现腾讯的。“我每到一个中国的城市，就去当地网吧逛，看看那里的年轻人在玩什么游戏。我惊奇地发现，几乎所有网吧的桌面上都挂着OICQ的程序。在2000年底，我接触几家想接受投资的公司总经理，发现他们的名片上都印有自己的OICQ号码，这更让我激动，想要看看这是一家怎么样的公司。”2000年第四个季度，腾讯QQ的注册用户很快就要突破1亿的惊人纪录，可是全中国却没有一个人愿意购买它的股份。网大为找到了腾讯公司。双方很快进入到实质性的谈判中。网大为开出了两个条件：第一，对腾讯的估价为6000万美元，MIH愿意用世纪互联的股份来换。第二，MIH希望成为第一大股东。对于这两条，马化腾当即不同意。在股份比例上，他的底线是绝不放弃控制权。在投资方式上，世纪互联也是一家未盈利的企业，“虚对虚，你不能拿那个东西来糊弄我们”。不过，让马化腾高兴是，“至少第一次有这么高估值的价格出来了”，腾讯的估值比一年前整整高出了11倍。两个月后，网大为做出了让步，MIH的投资将全部以现金支付，不过在股权比例上希望得到腾讯的帮助。经过一番曲折的交易，MIH从IDG手中买下12.8%的腾讯股份，从小超人李泽楷手中买下20%的腾讯股份。偶然闯入的MIH以拥有32.8%的股份，成为腾讯的第二大股东。据《腾讯传》讲述，MIH在进入腾讯之后，继续努力于股份的增持，同时开始谋划上市事宜。在香港律师事务所的安排下，2002年6月，MIH通过可换股债券投入等方式增持股份，腾讯股权结构变为创业团队占46.5%，MIH占46.3%，IDG占7.2%。2003年8月，腾讯赎回IDG剩余的股份和MIH少量的股份，至此，MIH与腾讯团队分别持有50%股份。而在上市后，MIH股份比例调整为33.2%。QQ回应大批账号被盗6月26日晚间，部分QQ用户称账号被盗。对此，@腾讯QQ
