The two companies are partnering on a 6-gigawatt project that will deploy AMD's Instinct GPUs to support Meta's expanding artificial intelligence infrastructure. Dr. Su characterized the agreement as transformative, reflecting the rapid expansion of AI computing needs among major technology firms. Separately from the Meta alliance, AMD also launched its new Ryzen AI 400 series CPUs, designed specifically for AI-powered laptops and personal computers. The company stated that demand for its processors has surpassed expectations as businesses increase their investments in AI technology. Furthermore, AMD is ramping up its research and development investments. The company announced it will jointly invest $150 million with Nutanix to build a new AI platform.
