Boyaa Interactive (0434) Expects HK$230.00 Million–HK$240.00 Million Loss for 2025

Bulletin Express03-03 21:25

According to a preliminary assessment by the management of Boyaa Interactive International Limited (0434), a loss attributable to owners of approximately HK$230.00 million to HK$240.00 million is anticipated for the year ended December 31, 2025. This projection contrasts with the profit attributable to owners of about HK$969.00 million (restated) in 2024. The shift largely stems from the decline in fair value of the Group’s cryptocurrency holdings due to falling Bitcoin prices in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Excluding non-operating one-off factors such as changes in the fair value of digital and financial assets, the Group’s profit attributable to owners for 2025 is expected to decrease by around 55% to 60% compared to 2024. This is attributed to a year-on-year decrease in value-added gains of digital assets, reduced interest income following lower deposits used to purchase cryptocurrencies, and higher employee compensation and welfare expenses.

The final annual results for 2025 have not been audited or confirmed, and the Group expects to announce them by the end of March 2026. The fair value of the digital assets as of December 31, 2025, is based on the market price on that date and may vary if cryptocurrency prices fluctuate.
