GWM Chairman Wei Jianjun Addresses Delivery Delays: Even My Family Keeps Asking When They Can Get Their Tank 400

Deep News12-03

On December 3, Great Wall Motor (GWM) Chairman Wei Jianjun posted on social media about growing customer impatience over vehicle delivery timelines. Users frequently share order screenshots, urging faster deliveries, with some even jokingly suggesting they volunteer at the factory to "tighten screws."

Wei responded, "Everyone has creative ideas, but factories follow rigorous production protocols. We can’t disrupt operations with well-intentioned but impractical help. Honestly, it’s not just customers—my own family keeps asking daily when our Tank 400 will arrive."

Regarding delivery schedules, Wei noted that the average wait time for the new Tank 400 is 2–6 weeks, while the newly launched GV高山 has seen its delivery window shrink to 3–7 weeks. Customized configurations may extend timelines slightly. While production is being accelerated, Wei emphasized that quality control remains non-negotiable.

"We’d rather face daily催促 than deliver substandard products. I appreciate everyone’s patience—including my family’s—and thank you for understanding," he concluded.
