The upgrade project for the Longxu Gufeng Village to Xindi section of Provincial Highway 505 officially commenced construction on June 8th.

On June 8th, at the construction site for the road surface upgrade on the Longxu Gufeng Village to Xindi section of Provincial Highway 505, passing vehicles proceeded in an orderly manner.

The Longxu Gufeng Village to Xindi section of Provincial Highway 505 is a vital transportation artery for the Longxu District. The route connects multiple towns and villages including Longxu Town, Dapo Town, and Xindi Town, with attractions such as the Canghai National Wetland Park and the former residence of Li Jishen located along the way.

Due to its age, the road section has developed issues such as insufficient surface smoothness, impacting traffic efficiency and safety. To improve road conditions and enhance the safety and comfort of public travel, the Guidong Highway Development Center is promoting the implementation of this pavement upgrade project.

It is reported that this road surface upgrade project spans a total length of 42.255 kilometers, with a planned construction period of six months. The project focuses on optimizing the route alignment and traffic conditions. It is being constructed according to secondary highway standards, with the roadbed width set at either 8.5 meters or 10 meters in different segments. Differentiated construction methods will be applied based on varying degrees of road surface damage. The project will also simultaneously improve supporting facilities such as side drainage ditches and safety guardrails, and carry out specialized remediation work on the decks of three bridges along the route.
