Senior figures including Vice President Vance, Energy Secretary Wright, Interior Secretary Burgum, and Treasury Secretary Bessent have all taken part in the related discussions.
US diesel prices have remained elevated at $6.50 per gallon, and Trump's earlier proposal this week to suspend exports instead pushed diesel futures prices higher, triggering strong opposition from the industry.
