As the Chinese Chair of the China-France Entrepreneur Committee, BANK OF CHINA Chairman Ge Haijiao was invited to attend and deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the 7th meeting. Ge Haijiao stated that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, practical cooperation between China and France has deepened, with economic and trade collaboration becoming the "ballast" and "propeller" of bilateral relations. Established under the leaders' support, the China-France Entrepreneur Committee has consistently fostered consensus and enhanced cooperation between enterprises, emerging as the highest-level institutionalized exchange platform for business communities in both nations.
As the China-France relationship enters a new era, BANK OF CHINA will continue to implement the leaders' shared vision, leveraging the Committee's role as a platform for trust and friendship. Together with the business communities of both countries, the bank aims to promote global green transformation, share vast market opportunities, and explore industrial synergies, contributing to more positive outcomes in bilateral cooperation and further advancing the comprehensive strategic partnership.
During the meeting, BANK OF CHINA President Zhang Hui participated in a panel discussion titled "China-France Industry Insights: New Opportunities in Cross-Border Investment for Innovation." He emphasized that BANK OF CHINA will fully utilize its integrated financial services advantage of "single-point access, global response." Focusing on key areas such as green finance, scientific innovation, and cross-border investment, the bank will build "bridges of opportunity," "bridges of empowerment," and "bridges of security" to further support the steady and enduring development of China-France relations.
Launched in January 2018, the China-France Entrepreneur Committee has seen BANK OF CHINA serve as the Chinese Chair for its first two terms, while Schneider Electric Group and BNP Paribas held the French Chair roles. In recent years, the Committee has innovated its exchange mechanisms, launching initiatives like "China-France Entrepreneur Committee Goes Local" to help businesses from both countries tap into China's vast market potential.
Themed "A New Chapter in China-France Cooperation: Focusing on Industry Transformation Trends and Upgrading Partnerships," this year's meeting gathered around 200 representatives from governments, enterprises, and other sectors of both nations.
