Air China Limited has released its operational data for May 2026.
The combined passenger capacity, measured in available seat kilometres, and passenger traffic, measured in revenue passenger kilometres, for the company and its subsidiaries both declined year-on-year.
Passenger capacity input fell by 6.4% compared to the same period last year, while passenger traffic decreased by 2.7%.
Domestically, passenger capacity saw a 9.4% drop and passenger traffic fell by 7.5%.
In contrast, international operations saw a 1.2% rise in capacity and a 9.8% increase in traffic.
Regional routes experienced a 13.6% decline in capacity and a 4.2% decrease in traffic.
The average passenger load factor for the month stood at 84.5%, representing a year-on-year increase of 3.2 percentage points.
Domestic routes saw their load factor rise by 1.8 percentage points, international routes by 6.4 percentage points, and regional routes by 7.8 percentage points.
