Bose has announced the launch of the Bose Open-Ear Sport Headphones and the Bose Ultra Open-Ear Headphones II, further expanding its open-ear headphone lineup.
The two products are designed to create more relaxed listening moments for users in sports and everyday life scenarios.
The Bose Open-Ear Sport Headphones are purpose-built for running, fitness training, and outdoor exploration, combining a secure, lightweight fit with soft, durable silicone material to deliver a rich and full open-ear audio experience.
The Bose Ultra Open-Ear Headphones II, as the representative of Bose's flagship open-ear listening experience, continue Bose's iconic ear-hook design and achieve comprehensive upgrades in audio performance, battery life, call quality, and overall design, meeting listening needs across daily commuting, office work, leisure, and other everyday scenarios.
Bose Ultra Open-Ear Headphones II. The Bose Open-Ear Sport Headphones and the Bose Ultra Open-Ear Headphones II are now officially on sale through Bose's official channels, priced at 1,599 yuan and 2,299 yuan respectively.

Bose Open-Ear Sport Headphones. Raza Haider, President of Bose's High-End Consumer Audio Business, said: "The first-generation Ultra Open-Ear Headphones allowed users to enjoy music in a new way without shutting out the outside world. We created a product that users can wear comfortably every day, letting music blend naturally into life. Now, building on that foundation, we have extended the same comfort and design philosophy to sports scenarios, while also taking the flagship listening experience a step further. Whether it's sports training, work, or daily commuting, both headphones deliver a comfortable fit and outstanding audio performance."
The Unique Advantages of Bose Open-Ear Audio. Both headphones are equipped with Bose OpenAudio open-ear audio technology, delivering a rich, full, and private listening experience through an open-ear design. This innovative technology combines transducers with a precisely controlled acoustic structure to accurately transmit clear sound to the ear while effectively reducing sound leakage. The powerful Bose SoundDesign digital signal processing technology further optimizes sound performance, balancing sound clarity with deep bass, allowing users to feel the details and rhythm of music while still naturally perceiving their surroundings.
Unlike bone conduction designs, these two products do not need to press tightly against the head to transmit sound; instead, they deliver sound naturally through the air near the ear rather than relying on bone vibration. This approach not only produces richer, more natural sound but also provides a more comfortable fit without any pressure. Since both products adopt an open-ear design that perceives the surrounding environment, they do not support active noise cancellation. While enjoying a rich and private listening experience, users can still naturally perceive their surroundings, including traffic conditions, station announcements, nearby conversations, and various real-time updates.
Both products are also equipped with Bose SpeechClarity technology, an AI-enhanced voice isolation technology. Each earbud houses a dedicated microphone and a voice pickup unit that work together to filter out background noise while isolating the user's voice, preserving the original timbre, warmth, and natural expressiveness of the human voice. With this technology, Bose brings an excellent call quality experience to its open-ear wearable product line. Whether on a busy street, passing through a noisy station, or walking or running outdoors, users can communicate clearly while maintaining awareness of their surroundings.
Bose Open-Ear Sport Headphones: Born for Sports. The Bose Open-Ear Sport Headphones bring the open-ear audio experience to high-intensity sports scenarios. The product is suitable for running, fitness training, and a variety of outdoor activities, focusing on fit stability, comfort, and durability. It features touch controls for convenient operation during exercise and delivers a rich, full open-ear sound. Custom dynamic drivers deliver rich, balanced audio quality; the Auto Volume adaptive volume adjustment function intelligently adjusts volume based on changes in ambient noise. For example, when a marathon training route moves from a quiet section into a street with heavy traffic, the runner's playlist still maintains a consistent and coherent listening experience.
The C-shaped ear hook is made of soft matte silicone material, gently conforming to the ear's contours for a secure fit. The slim, lightweight design is both comfortable and stable, maintaining a secure fit even during vigorous movements such as head shaking or cartwheels. Newly added textured physical buttons make it easy to control music playback, calls, and volume adjustment, even when fingers are sweaty during exercise. The product has IP54-rated sweat, splash, and dust resistance. The durable silicone material handles various sports scenarios with ease and is easy to clean and maintain. The portable charging case can stand upright, supports wireless charging, and features a semi-transparent textured top cover design for a more secure grip.
In terms of battery life, the Bose Open-Ear Sport Headphones can meet the needs of various activities from daily workouts to marathon races, providing up to 7 hours of playback on a single charge, with the wireless charging case storing an additional 22 hours of power in total.
Bose Ultra Open-Ear Headphones II: Reshaping the Everyday Listening Experience. The Bose Ultra Open-Ear Headphones II continue the distinctive ear-hook shape of the first generation and achieve comprehensive upgrades in sound quality, call quality, feature expansion, detail design, and battery life to meet multi-scenario usage needs. Compared with the previous generation, the newly designed drivers deliver deeper bass and higher volume. SpeechClarity technology ensures clear and natural calls, while the Auto Volume adaptive volume adjustment function intelligently adjusts playback volume based on environmental changes — whether walking from a quiet cafe into a busy street district or stepping into a quiet office after a noisy commute, it maintains an appropriate and comfortable listening volume.
The Bose Ultra Open-Ear Headphones II also feature a "Cinema Mode" powered by Bose TrueSpatial immersive spatial audio technology, taking the listening experience further. When watching videos or listening to podcasts, this mode creates a broader, more immersive stereo soundstage; while ensuring dialogue is clear, transparent, and precisely centered, it gives all types of content a more vivid and lifelike feel, delivering a listening experience as if you were in a cinema.
While continuing the classic design of the first generation, the headphones have been optimized and upgraded in appearance details, including a refined beveled metal decorative cover. The redesigned portable charging case is more portable, can stand upright, and supports wireless charging. The battery life of the Bose Ultra Open-Ear Headphones II has also been upgraded, providing up to 9 hours of continuous playback on a single charge (about 5 hours with immersive spatial audio mode enabled), with the wireless charging case adding up to 19.5 hours of additional battery life. In addition, the headphones support Snapdragon Sound technology, Qualcomm aptX Lossless audio, and Qualcomm aptX Adaptive audio technology, delivering high-quality audio, lower latency, and stable, reliable wireless connectivity on compatible Android devices.
Connectivity, Convenience, and the Bose App. Both products use the Bluetooth 5.4 core specification, feature multipoint connectivity, and support the Low Complexity Subband Codec (SBC) and Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) codec standards. Users can also set custom shortcuts for both devices to quickly wake the phone's native voice assistant or switch between different Bose immersive audio modes with one tap (only for the Bose Ultra Open-Ear Headphones II). Through the Bose App, users can further personalize their listening experience, including adjusting the dynamic three-band equalizer, the Auto Volume adaptive volume adjustment, setting shortcut functions, customizing the open-ear listening experience, and managing Bluetooth devices and obtaining firmware updates.
