On August 22, the 9th China (Guangzhou) International Senior Care and Health Industry Expo officially opened. The expo, which began in 2017, is hosted by the Guangzhou Municipal Government and jointly organized by the Guangzhou Bureau of Civil Affairs, Guangzhou Collaboration Office, and the Guangzhou Expo Committee Office. After eight years of development, the Guangzhou Senior Care Expo has become an important platform for Guangzhou to cooperate with domestic and international cities in the senior care industry, showcase urban senior care achievements, and promote the development of the silver economy. It is also the only professional senior care exhibition in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area certified by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI).
At this exhibition, Chunxuanmao, a subsidiary of Sino-Ocean Group, was invited by the Guangzhou Bureau of Civil Affairs to present its innovative professional senior care services and warm humanistic care. This was not only a brand showcase but also a deep practice of the concepts of "active aging" and "quality senior care."
At this year's exhibition, Sino-Ocean Chunxuanmao highlighted its distinctive service system built around the core needs of seniors for "health, happiness, and dignity," conveying its professional, meticulous, and humanistically caring approach to the general public and industry colleagues. Sino-Ocean Chunxuanmao (Guangzhou Xingye) Senior Apartment specifically presented customized services for Hong Kong seniors and its professional practices in dementia care, while Sino-Ocean Chunxuanmao (Guangzhou Kelin Road) Senior Apartment prominently promoted the lifestyle it creates for seniors - "leisurely, comfortable, happy and warm" - attracting numerous visitors for exchanges, with continuous foot traffic at the exhibition booth.
Multiple themed forum activities were held during the exhibition. As the first family mutual aid activity station established in a senior care facility in Guangdong Province, Hou Xianghua, Guangzhou Operations Director of Sino-Ocean Chunxuanmao, was invited to attend the "Dementia-Friendly Community Construction - Family Mutual Aid Roundtable for Dementia Families," sharing the institution's professional experience in family mutual aid services: "Sino-Ocean Chunxuanmao's family mutual aid association has transcended institutional boundaries to reach society, committed to providing support, conveying warmth, and sharing experiences for more families facing dementia care challenges." Additionally, Xiang Lijun, head of dementia care services at Sino-Ocean Chunxuanmao (Guangzhou Xingye) Senior Apartment, also delivered a themed presentation on "Family Mutual Aid Association Practice Sharing" at the meeting.
Furthermore, Li Dan, a family member of a resident senior at the apartment, also shared care insights as a special guest at the forum: "As a family member of a dementia patient, I deeply understand the critical importance of professional care. Doctors point out that stabilizing the condition cannot rely solely on medication; the key lies in professional nursing, emotional counseling, and patient comfort. While family members cannot completely replace professional institutions, they should actively learn care knowledge and cooperate with the facility to ensure seniors continue receiving professional care. Caring for dementia patients especially requires patience - even when the same question is asked repeatedly, each time should be answered seriously with respect. As they face memory decline due to illness, we should be even more mindful of maintaining their dignity, avoiding any blame or mockery."
