SMIC Issues 9 April 2026 Reminder on Electronic Distribution of Corporate Communications

Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) released a reminder on 9 April 2026 confirming the full transition to electronic dissemination of all future corporate communications.

Key points:

• Coverage of materials: Electronic delivery applies to directors’ reports, annual and interim reports (and any summaries), meeting notices, listing documents, circulars and proxy forms.

• Access channels: Identical English and Chinese versions will be posted on SMIC’s website (www.smics.com) and on HKEX’s disclosure platform (www.hkexnews.hk). Printed copies will no longer be dispatched by default.

• Action for non-registered shareholders: – No functional email address has been provided by intermediaries on their behalf. – Shareholders holding SMIC shares through banks, brokers, custodians, nominees or HKSCC Nominees Limited must supply an email address to those intermediaries to receive electronic notifications.

• Opt-in for hard copy: Investors preferring printed communications can submit the designated reply form to the Hong Kong share registrar, Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services Limited, or email smic.ecom@computershare.com.hk, specifying name, address and the preferred language version.

• Contact information: Queries should be directed by email to smic.ecom@computershare.com.hk.

SMIC reiterates that shareholders are responsible for regularly visiting the company and HKEX websites to stay informed of new publications.
