EB Environment finalises RMB1.00 billion green medium-term notes due 2029

On 22 April 2026, China Everbright Environment Group Limited (EB Environment) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Everbright Environmental Protection (China) Limited (EEP China), successfully completed the issuance of its 2026 green medium-term notes (Series 1).

The notes total RMB1.00 billion, carry a fixed coupon of 1.70% per annum and were issued at par on 21 April 2026. They mature on 21 April 2029, with principal to be repaid at face value. Denomination is RMB100 per note.

Everbright Securities acted as lead underwriter and China Construction Bank Corporation served as joint lead underwriter. The offering was conducted through centralised book-building and placing in the national inter-bank bond market.

All proceeds will be allocated to green and low-carbon waste-to-energy projects under EEP China, in line with the group’s environmental focus.

The board stated that the underwriting agreement was negotiated on normal commercial terms and deemed fair and reasonable, aligning with the interests of the company and its shareholders.
