During the 2026 National Day period, the city's consumer goods market had ample supply, stable prices, and orderly buying and selling. Compared with the same period in 2025, it showed new characteristics such as more diversified supply channels, vigorous new forms of consumption, rational and pragmatic resident consumption, and a variety of exciting consumption promotion activities. The holiday consumer market maintained a steady growth trend. During the 7-day holiday, 327 large shopping malls, chain supermarkets, catering and accommodation enterprises in the city achieved cumulative retail sales of 1.59 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.5% (of which retail sales of consumer goods excluding automobiles were 1.33 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.8%).
Market supply guarantees were strong, and the supply guarantee network was tightly woven. First, source organization was precise and sufficient. The National Day holiday lasted 7 days and was relatively close to the previous Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. The overlap of the two festivals formed a consumption peak season lasting nearly two weeks. Key commercial circulation enterprises, in response to holiday consumption patterns and changes in customer flow, assessed demand in advance, scientifically allocated supply sources, appropriately increased inventories of storable goods and holiday bestsellers, ensured no interruptions or shortages during the holiday, and effectively carried over the residual heat of Mid-Autumn consumption. Second, monitoring and scheduling were stable and orderly. The Municipal Commerce Bureau strictly implemented the market monitoring system. During the holiday, it implemented a "daily report" system for daily necessities, arranged dedicated personnel to dynamically grasp market supply, demand, and price trends, strengthened trend analysis and judgment, and made every effort to ensure the quantity and stable prices of the public's "vegetable basket." It guided three key wholesale markets, including Hada, Longyuan, and Dongri Nongdu, as well as large supermarkets, to deepen cooperation with main producing areas and increase stockpiling of holiday bestsellers such as fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs, and milk. During the holiday, the city's daily necessities had complete categories, ample supply, and orderly market order. Third, supply channels were expanded and diversified. Compared with the same period in 2025, instant retail has become a new channel for holiday supply guarantees and consumption growth this year. Major supermarkets and chain convenience stores, relying on front warehouses and "hourly delivery" services, included holiday goods such as fresh food, alcoholic beverages, and snack foods in the scope of instant delivery. The supply model of online ordering, store delivery, and immediate delivery effectively supplemented traditional in-store consumption.
Market sales were stable with improved quality, and the consumption structure continued to optimize. First, total sales were generally stable. According to monitoring of 325 key retail enterprises in the city, among them, retail sales of large shopping malls and supermarkets increased by 7.4% year-on-year; retail sales in the refined oil market increased by 14.1% year-on-year; retail sales in the home appliance market increased by 18.6% year-on-year. Second, online consumption showed strong growth. Compared with the same period in 2025, new business formats such as instant retail and livestream e-commerce grew rapidly. During the holiday, key e-commerce enterprises increased by 7.4% year-on-year, significantly faster than traditional formats, and the characteristics of online and instant consumption became increasingly prominent. Third, resident consumption was rational and pragmatic. Monitoring data from key shopping malls showed that during the holiday, Shanshan Outlets Shopping Plaza achieved retail sales of 58.281 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.9%; Maple Leaf Town Outlets achieved retail sales of 50.028 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.3%; Yuanda Shopping Center achieved retail sales of 40.017 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%. The overall growth rate of retail sales in large shopping malls was moderate, and there was no concentrated surge in high-end consumption, indicating that residents' consumption mentality has become more rational and mature.
The festival effect continued to amplify, and consumption promotion activities fully heated up. First, funding investment increased. Key commercial enterprises such as Maple Leaf Town and Shanshan Outlets invested 22 million yuan in discount promotions, bringing more benefits to consumers. Meituan was guided to invest 3 million yuan in special subsidy funds to create a food-themed zone in the catering sector, launch National Day food specials, autumn family banquets, and other activities; in the accommodation sector, it launched benefits such as large early-bird vouchers and city exploration free-order cards, effectively lowering the consumption threshold for tourists. Second, festival scenes were innovated. In line with experiential and scenario-based consumption trends, the integration of "commerce, tourism, culture, sports, and health" was deepened. Maple Leaf Town Outlets held the "Maple Leaf Outlets Drama Festival," key commercial districts launched themed activities such as National Day art performances and Ink China, and youth-oriented activities such as anime carnivals, random dances, pet parties, and children's charity flea markets precisely connected with young groups and family customers. Interactive projects such as lantern riddles, parent-child handicrafts, and folk games created an integrated consumption experience of "sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment," gathering customer flow and stimulating consumption through new scenes and new experiences. Third, promotional activities were carried out intensively. During the holiday, the city coordinated and held nearly 60 various consumption promotion activities. Twenty-one key commercial enterprises, including Xinyibai, Qiulin, Yuanda, and Lesong, actively participated, covering central urban districts such as Daoli, Nangang, Daowai, Xiangfang, and Songbei, providing consumers with richer consumption choices.
Regulatory responsibilities were tightened and compacted, and the safety bottom line was firmly guarded. First, safety risks were assessed in advance. The Municipal Commerce Bureau focused on key business formats such as large shopping malls, gas stations, catering venues, and renewable resource enterprises, systematically sorted out risk points such as fire safety, gas use, electricity safety, and crowd control in densely populated places, refined safety control measures, compacted internal regulatory division of labor, and promoted early discovery, early warning, and early disposal of various hidden dangers. Second, safety production work requirements were refined. A notice on safety production work in the commercial field during the National Day period was issued. Benchmarking against the "five in place" standards of safety responsibility, investment, training, management, and emergency rescue, commercial enterprises were organized to carry out regular hidden danger self-inspections, urged enterprises to comprehensively investigate and rectify safety hazards in business premises, and effectively implement the main responsibility for safety production. Third, emergency duty was not relaxed. Enterprises were urged to improve emergency plans, strictly implement the duty and guard system, maintain emergency preparation and response status during the holiday, resolutely prevent and contain various safety accidents, and guard the holiday safety bottom line.
