Deep News12-17

On December 17, a delegation led by Yan Dong, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Jiangsu Lianyungang Port Co., Ltd., visited Guangzhou Port. Zheng Lingtang, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd., met with the guests at the Port Center. The two sides held in-depth discussions on domestic shipping route operations, green and smart port development, and sea-rail intermodal transport.

During the talks, Yan Dong praised Guangzhou Port's achievements in automated terminal construction, new energy technology applications, multimodal transport systems, and container business development. He noted that as the eastern starting point of the New Eurasian Land Bridge, Lianyungang Port shares broad cooperation potential with Guangzhou Port in north-south corridors and river-sea intermodal transport. He expressed hope for further deepening route coordination and business synergy between the two ports.

Zheng Lingtang warmly welcomed Yan Dong and his delegation. He highlighted Guangzhou Port's efforts in optimizing logistics systems and reducing costs for enterprises under the "Corridor + Hub + Network" development strategy. He proposed future collaboration in domestic container network optimization and green port-shipping technology, leveraging their respective regional advantages to strengthen land-sea intermodal transport under the Belt and Road Initiative.

The exchange laid a solid foundation for strategic cooperation and logistics channel expansion between the two ports at the start of the "15th Five-Year Plan" period. Both sides agreed on their strong complementarity and committed to jointly developing end-to-end logistics solutions covering Central Asia, Africa, Southeast Asia, East China, and South China. This collaboration aims to support China's transportation development and boost the marine economy.

During the visit, Yan Dong's delegation toured the fully automated terminal at Nansha Port Phase IV and the Guangzhou Port Exhibition Hall at the Port Center. Sun Bangcheng, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd., along with representatives from relevant departments and subsidiaries of both ports, participated in the discussions.
