In a recent episode of the program "Investment Consensus," Yan Yan, Founding Managing Partner of SAIF Partners, engaged in a dialogue with host Ai Cheng. When discussing Jack Ma, Yan remarked that he is an exceptional entrepreneur and a remarkable individual. By "remarkable," Yan meant that Ma is not a boring person.
Yan expressed that a truly outstanding entrepreneurial founder must possess a missionary-like, almost religious, zeal. Even during the most challenging times, Ma demonstrated a particularly admirable quality: his unwavering belief in his mission. When he had the least amount of money, he still firmly believed in making business easier for everyone in the world.
"You could say it was a blind faith, or you could call it a truly religious devotion. He was consistent with everyone in this regard. I think one of Jack Ma's greatest virtues is that he doesn't put on airs—this is a very endearing trait."
