1. China's Fourth-Generation Superconducting Quantum Computer in Hefei Now Open for Global Tasks On May 9th, it was announced that the "Origin Wukong-180" quantum computer, equipped with a domestically developed superconducting quantum chip featuring 180 computational qubits on a single core, has commenced operations in Hefei and is now accepting global quantum computing tasks. The "Origin Wukong-180" achieves hundred-qubit-level quantum computation on a single-chip architecture, with 180 computational qubits ready for practical operations, single-qubit gate fidelity of 99.9%, two-qubit gate fidelity of 99%, and an additional 251 coupling qubits. Developed independently by Origin Quantum Computing Technology (Hefei) Co., Ltd., the system is fully self-sufficient across its entire supply chain. Its four core systems—the quantum computing chip system, quantum computing control and measurement system, quantum computing environmental support system, and quantum computer operating system—were all independently developed by Origin Quantum. On January 6, 2024, the company's third-generation self-developed superconducting quantum computer, "Origin Wukong" (featuring 72 computational qubits per core), was launched globally. It has now operated stably for over two years, receiving approximately 50 million remote accesses from more than 160 countries, completing over 900,000 global quantum computing tasks, and achieving China's first export of independent quantum computing power in 2025.
