On April 27, crude oil prices rose sharply. By around 6:30, WTI crude exceeded $96 per barrel, and Brent crude surpassed $101 per barrel, both gaining over 2% for the day. New York crude oil futures also experienced a rapid surge in after-hours trading.
Precious metals collectively declined. Spot gold fell below $4,690 per ounce, down 0.5% for the day, while New York gold futures dropped below $4,700 per ounce, declining nearly 0.9%. Spot silver decreased by 0.75%, and New York silver futures fell close to 1.8%.
