At the 2026 Financial Street "Spring Splendor" Carnival held on April 25, Lumos Robotics' "Lu Xiaoming" robot teamed up with Oak Deer Robotics in a spectacular collaboration. The "Lu Xiaoming" robot activated Oak Deer's specialized catering service robot on-site, preparing a plate of spicy crayfish in just six minutes, earning widespread praise from the audience.
According to on-site staff, Lu Xiaoming is an AI-powered mini-bipedal humanoid robot developed by Lumos Robotics. Standing 89 centimeters tall and weighing 20 kilograms, it is equipped with 21 joint modules, enabling it to walk, run, and perform other movements. It also supports natural voice dialogue and synchronized voice-action interactions, making it suitable for applications in daily companionship and commercial services.
Oak Deer Robotics focuses on the research, development, and deployment of intelligent cooking robots. Its products feature a self-developed intelligent recipe system, which includes over 2,000 publicly available recipes covering eight major Chinese cuisines, ranging from popular home-style dishes to specialty flavors. Additionally, the brand collaborates with a vast network of merchants, offering approximately one million exclusive non-public recipes.
This collaboration demonstrated the potential for general-purpose humanoid robots to operate specialized robotic systems. During the event, visitors who checked in at the Oak Deer Robotics booth had the opportunity to taste the delicious crayfish prepared by the robots.
