Zhejiang Builds Marine Clean Energy Industry Cluster, Targeting Over 300 Billion Yuan by 2030

The Zhejiang Provincial Department of Marine Economic Development recently issued the "Guidelines for the Development of Zhejiang Province's Marine Clean Energy Industry," focusing on four major sectors: offshore wind power, offshore photovoltaics, ocean energy, and coastal nuclear power, to build a full-chain marine clean energy industry cluster.

The Guidelines propose that by 2030, the province's marine clean energy and its equipment industry scale will exceed 300 billion yuan, offshore wind power installed capacity will surpass 10 million kilowatts, a ten-million-kilowatt-level offshore wind power base will be built, landmark projects such as wind power mother ports will be put into operation, tidal current energy will achieve hundred-megawatt-level commercial application, offshore photovoltaics will realize "wind-solar co-location" contiguous development, the green hydrogen-ammonia-methanol industry will take initial shape, and more than 50 leading enterprises and specialized and sophisticated SMEs in the marine clean energy field will be cultivated.
