The South Korean presidential office announced on Wednesday that President Lee Jae-myung will embark on a five-nation overseas trip this week, which will include visits to three South American countries for talks with their leaders.
Presidential Chief of Staff Kim Yong-beom disclosed that President Lee will depart on Friday, with his first stop being San Francisco for a two-day visit. During this leg, he is scheduled to meet with heads of several global technology giants, including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang.
Starting Sunday and continuing through next Wednesday, President Lee will pay a state visit to Brazil for a summit with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. He will subsequently visit Chile and Argentina, holding summit meetings with the leaders of both nations before August 1st.
An official from the South Korean presidential office stated that the final stop of the trip will be Frankfurt, Germany, where President Lee will meet with local Korean expatriates before returning to South Korea on August 3rd.
