Special Report: The 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Summit & the Second Green Industry and Sustainable Consumption Expo. On October 21, a financial frontline report stated that the 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Summit was held from October 20 to 22 at the Huangpu Expo Park in Shanghai.

Jinko Solar Co.,Ltd. (688223) ESG Deputy General Manager Yao Chenchen participated in the sub-forum "Corporate Breakthrough: Green Development and Global Co-opetition" and joined a themed dialogue.

Speaking about going global, Yao Chenchen believes that different companies and different industries should have their own pace, and it is not necessarily about copying each other, though they can certainly learn from one another. He said that for JinkoSolar, going global is actually part of the underlying DNA of the industry or the company; its products reached the global market very early on, and around 2012 it truly began expanding its overseas supply chain.

"ESG has now become a new trend for going global, but we feel it has never been a process where you can board the train first and buy the ticket later; rather, it is the entry threshold," Yao Chenchen pointed out. In recent years, he noted, many companies have absolutely no problem with their hard power when going global, but they have also stumbled a lot, often in areas of soft power, including various issues related to the environment, labor, and more. From JinkoSolar's perspective, ESG is a pass that allows smooth conduct of global business.

Regarding the question of how to balance profit and ESG investment, Yao Chenchen said ESG investment definitely costs money; it can only be said that as adults we certainly want both profit and ESG, so we need to calculate the big picture. Calculating the big picture means looking at the long term rather than short-term investment, and instead viewing from a long-term perspective how ESG can help a company build a long-term moat and barrier.

"More investment in the early stage forms a moat, and in the later stage ESG is a protective talisman for us," Yao Chenchen emphasized. ESG and profit can both be pursued; doing this well can bring long-term sustainable business development for the company.
