Beijing South Railway Station is situated between the South Second Ring Road and South Third Ring Road in Beijing's Fengtai District. It serves as the starting and terminal station for the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway and the Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Railway.
For entry strategies, the Beijing South Railway Station area has expanded available space resources this year, including the North and South Squares. In addition to the original East and West Drop-off Platforms, new drop-off zones have been established at the Kaiyang Road Northwest Drop-off Area, North Ring Road Drop-off Area, and South Square Drop-off Area to promote multi-point passenger drop-off. Meanwhile, the Quick Entry Hall has been put into regular operation to facilitate faster access for passengers.
For the Northwest Drop-off Area, navigate to the Northwest Drop-off Area of Beijing South Railway Station. It is approximately a 300-meter walk to the North Entrance for boarding. For the North Ring Road Drop-off Area, navigate to the North Drop-off Area (North Entrance), where private cars and taxis can directly reach the North Entrance. For the South Square Drop-off Area, navigate to the South Drop-off Area (South Entrance), which also allows direct access for private cars and taxis.
A Quick Entry Passage is located on the southeast side of the underground transfer hall on the -1 floor. Passengers with departures within 20 minutes can use this passage for swift entry. Those taking Subway Line 4 and Line 14 will find quick entry especially convenient.
Note: The three newly added drop-off points are highly recommended due to lower passenger flow, helping avoid congestion at the East and West Drop-off Platforms during peak hours. Traveling by subway is also actively encouraged.
For departure strategies, the South Station area currently has two taxi dispatch stations—the North Hub Dispatch Station and the East Dispatch Station—as well as four parking areas for private cars and ride-hailing vehicles: P1 to P4. Taxi passengers should proceed to the North Hub Dispatch Station or East Dispatch Station. Ride-hailing or private car users should go to the West Underground P1 and P2 parking lots or the East Underground P3 and P4 parking lots.
The North Hub Dispatch Station is located within the original North Hub bus station. It is about a 200-meter walk to the Gonglian Hall. Follow the rainbow floor signs to take the escalator to the dispatch station, which features air-conditioned waiting rooms and mobile restrooms.
The East Dispatch Station is on the east side of the underground transfer hall. After exiting the station, walk about 200 meters along the north or south passageways on the east side to queue for a taxi.
P3 and P4 parking lots are located on the east side of the underground transfer hall, on the underground first floor and mezzanine (M) floor, respectively. Walking about 200 meters along the east side passageways leads to the P3 parking lot. To reach P4, take the elevator or stairs to the mezzanine level. These lots are designated for private and ride-hailing vehicles, with P4 offering an air-conditioned waiting area for ride-hailing passengers.
Note: Visitors are welcome to experience the smart parking services at P1 and P2 parking lots. To ensure a better travel experience and orderly environment, drivers are urged to park in designated spots and avoid blocking pathways. Passengers waiting for ride-hailing services should use the designated waiting areas.
