At the 27th anniversary celebration of iFlytek, Chairman Liu Qingfeng laid out the company's strategic vision and direction for the new AI era. The core goal is to secure a unique position in the foundational dividends of artificial intelligence by achieving full-stack, self-developed, and controllable core models.
"If we only aim to be an artificial intelligence application company, iFlytek would betray its original mission, and that is certainly not the standard we set for ourselves," Liu Qingfeng stated. He pointed out that while many domestic companies have attempted to build on domestic computing power, iFlytek has emerged as a pioneer, becoming the earliest to train and infer large models on a fully domestic computing power foundation. "If no one commits to a fully domestic approach, then China's self-developed and controllable large models have no future," he added.
Over the past three years, iFlytek has persistently advanced through the uncharted territory of full-stack, self-developed large models. From April to October 2023, the company conquered the training of large models using the GPT framework. From December 2024 to June 2025, it tackled training with long chain-of-thought reinforcement learning. Subsequently, from March to October 2025, iFlytek overcame the challenges of end-to-end training for MoE (Mixture of Experts) models, continuously breaking new ground.
During the anniversary event, iFlytek announced the establishment of a wholly-owned subsidiary named Ci Yuan Xing Huo (Spark of Lexeme). "In the areas of developer-oriented code and complex agent capabilities, iFlytek is determined to catch up with unprecedented intensity," Liu Qingfeng said. For the era of general artificial intelligence, Ci Yuan Xing Huo represents the company's "assault team" and "special forces" assembled on the main battlefield.
