Tesla CEO Elon Musk has predicted that the company will establish a factory on the lunar surface within the next 20 years and encouraged investors to continue holding Tesla stock.

During an interview with Andre Thierig, the head of Tesla's Berlin Gigafactory, Musk shared his outlook for the automaker's future development. He stated, "In 20 years, I dare say Tesla will have a factory on the Moon." He also expressed that he sees a "prosperous" and "extremely bright future" for Tesla.

In the interview, Musk advised, "I recommend everyone continue holding Tesla stock, as its value is set to rise significantly."

Musk has repeatedly discussed establishing facilities on the lunar surface. Last December, he proposed building a satellite factory on the Moon to enable sending AI data center satellites into space without the need for rockets.

The billionaire introduced the concept of constructing a "mass driver" on the Moon, a theoretical propulsion method that uses electromagnets to accelerate objects to high velocities magnetically.

Musk also predicted that Tesla's Optimus humanoid robot will assist humanity in establishing colonies on other planets. He suggested it could become the first "von Neumann probe"—a hypothetical machine capable of self-replication using raw materials from a celestial body. These replicas would then be dispatched to other planets in space to gather more resources and aid in setting up human outposts.
