LG Display's stock plummeted 16.76% in intraday trading on Thursday, as investors reacted to the company's disappointing first-quarter financial results.
The display maker reported a net loss attributable to shareholders of 570.7 billion won for the first quarter, significantly wider than the 262.7 billion won loss a year earlier. Sales also declined by 9% year over year to 5.534 trillion won from 6.065 trillion won.
The worse-than-expected financial performance led to a sharp sell-off in the stock during the trading session.
