The Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration for Market Regulation have issued the "Service Trade Standardization Work Plan (2026–2030)". The plan emphasizes the development of professional service standards. It calls for enhanced standardization in intellectual property, technology services, geographic information, human resources, language services, consulting, inspection and testing, and creative design services. The goal is to extend relevant standards to cover the entire chain of domestic and international service provision in these industries, thereby improving the global service capabilities of professional institutions. The plan also aims to elevate the level of standardization in service outsourcing, with a focus on establishing standards in pharmaceutical R&D outsourcing, integrated development of information technology outsourcing with manufacturing, and intellectual property protection for service outsourcing enterprises.
