President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he is working with House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune to secure funding for immigration enforcement personnel by bypassing the Senate filibuster rule.
"We will move as quickly and forcefully as possible to replenish funding for Border Patrol and ICE agents," Trump stated in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social.
He added, "I have requested that the relevant bill be delivered to my desk for signature no later than June 1."
