NIO's William Li Advocates Long-Term Perspective on Company Strategy

During the 2024 Beijing Auto Show opening on April 24, NIO founder and chairman William Li spoke with media following the company's press conference.

Li suggested that for urban driving, consumers might consider the Firefly model, noting, "Firefly is one of the few models that has successfully overcome the 'valley of death' for new vehicles—often underestimated, yet consistently exceeding expectations."

He further emphasized, "I believe all of NIO's initiatives should be evaluated from a long-term perspective. Many of our strategic layouts can withstand the test of time; we aim to be a friend of time. Admittedly, progress may sometimes be slower than anticipated, and production volumes for certain models may vary from initial projections. Nevertheless, the longer the timeline, the more confident we become."
