Recently, the finals of the 2026 Shaanxi Provincial Employee Innovation Competition concluded in Xi'an. The entry submitted by Avic Xi'An Aircraft Industry Group Company Ltd., titled "New Fully Pneumatic Batch Automatic Rubber Mixing Machine," was awarded first prize in the Professional Skills Innovation track, recognized for its outstanding technological innovation value and practical on-site application results.
The competition focused on pain points and challenges encountered on production floors, emphasizing practicality, innovation, and potential for wider adoption. A total of 1,449 innovation projects were collected from frontline employees across various industries throughout the province. Following centralized review by experts in relevant fields, 143 projects stood out and advanced to the finals.
The "New Fully Pneumatic Batch Automatic Rubber Mixing Machine" was spearheaded by the Zhang Chenguang Model Worker Innovation Studio at the Wing Assembly Plant of Avic Xi'An Aircraft Industry Group Company Ltd. The equipment abandons traditional electric drive solutions in favor of a purely pneumatic control approach, enabling automatic feeding of sealant curing agent and batch mixing. This improves quality consistency, shortens operation time, enhances the working environment, and reduces the physical strain on operators.
The project's results have already been put into practical application. It not only improves the consistency of product sealing procedures and production efficiency, but also provides new ideas for the automated upgrading of aviation assembly sealing processes.
