The Municipal Mass Art Center is offering a cultural feast this spring, with 680 free spots available across eight public courses starting March 9. Citizens are invited to engage with the arts through offerings such as Baduanjin, oil painting, and erhu classes.
From capturing life's beautiful moments through smartphone photography to creating poetic images with oil paints, this "cultural spring rain" will enrich the city from March 16 to May 17. The curriculum blends traditional charm with contemporary appeal: the 24-form simplified tai chi reveals the wisdom of traditional martial arts, basic vocal training helps participants find their voice, fitness qigong and Baduanjin awaken bodily energy, model artistry builds confidence on the catwalk, and an advanced erhu class bridges learners to classical music.
All courses will be held at the Municipal Mass Art Center located in the northwest annex of Xingtai Museum. Except for oil painting, all classes will take place on the second and third floors, allowing participants to absorb artistic knowledge while experiencing the pulse of history and modernity.
Registration is open through March 21 via the Xingtai Mass Art Center's cultural cloud platform. Each person may register for one course only, with placements available on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants should note that unexplained absences after successful registration will result in placement on an annual training blacklist.
With 16 instructional hours across eight sessions taught by professional instructors, the Municipal Mass Art Center becomes an accessible arts enrichment destination. This spring, let's step away from daily bustle and discover better versions of ourselves through artistic expression.
