Deep News11-09

During the upcoming winter-spring heating season, PetroChina Company Limited has arranged a 3.7% year-on-year increase in natural gas supply resources, accounting for over 60% of domestic supply, to ensure stable winter heating for residents.

According to PetroChina's natural gas sales division, winter supply preparations begin in summer. Following the end of the previous heating season in April, PetroChina immediately initiated new supply measures, focusing on boosting domestic gas production, securing stable imported gas supply, and enhancing storage and peak-shaving capacity. Detailed operational plans were implemented to ensure execution.

Data shows that in the first three quarters of this year, PetroChina produced 123 billion cubic meters of natural gas, up 4.7% YoY, while imported gas reached 80.4 billion cubic meters, a 5.7% increase. Gas storage injections totaled 18.6 billion cubic meters, rising 8.8% YoY.

On the sales side, PetroChina has advanced contract negotiations for the new supply season in line with national guidelines and regional demand. Contracts covering residential gas consumption have been largely finalized.

Additionally, PetroChina has conducted early maintenance on gas processing plants and strengthened coordination with pipeline operators to ensure stable winter supply and safe operations.
