Beijing Fengtai Unveils RMB 1.18 Billion Investment Opportunities in Urban Innovation Scenarios

Deep News12-05

On December 5, Fengtai District hosted the "Intelligence Empowers Urban Landscapes, Innovation Leads the Future" event, releasing its third batch of urban scenario opportunity lists and data application innovation scenarios. The initiative aims to provide precise collaboration directions and expansive development space for market entities by offering not just incentives but tangible opportunities.

Key scenarios highlighted include the "Intelligent Security Patrol Robot Scenario" proposed by Beijing Fengtai Railway Station, the "Smart River Dredging Scenario" by Fengtai Water Authority, the "AI-Powered Medical Nursing Scenario" by Fengtai Health Commission, and the "Fully Integrated Smart Elderly Care Service Scenario" by Kandian Subdistrict.

The Fengtai Science and Technology Bureau unveiled an "Urban Scenario Opportunity List," featuring 84 specific projects across seven critical sectors: digital government services, urban construction and governance, industrial and cultural innovation, smart livelihood services, and digital healthcare. The total investment amounts to RMB 1.18 billion, covering all aspects of urban development to stimulate endogenous momentum and innovation.

Simultaneously, the Fengtai Government Services and Data Administration released a "Data Application Innovation List," disclosing 19 corporate data supply-demand entries and seven public data application scenarios. These initiatives systematically advance data element development and utilization, aligning with regional industrial needs.

As a strategic expansion zone of the capital, Fengtai leverages its unique location and emerging industries to excel in scenario cultivation and openness. From 2023 to 2024, the district introduced over 500 urban innovation scenarios across two batches, transitioning from "offering incentives" to "providing opportunities." These efforts have yielded exemplary cases, some even recognized as national pilot projects.

For instance, Lize Financial Business District’s "Smart City Operation Platform" broke traditional management barriers, establishing a grid-based, cross-departmental service matrix. It was selected as a "Global IoT and Smart City Excellence Case" at the 2025 World Digital Economy Conference.

Another standout is Huaxiang Huamu Group’s "Floral + Tech" innovation, which built China’s first end-to-end floral data platform and auction center, setting a benchmark for the industry.

In the "Aging-in-Place + AI Elderly Care" sector, projects like Fanghuali’s retrofitted senior community and its collaboration with Senlikang Technology (Beijing) Co. on the "Xiao Li" care robot exemplify tech-driven elderly care solutions.

"We successfully joined the MIIT and Ministry of Civil Affairs’ pilot program for smart elderly care robots in September," said Yang Yang, a representative of Fanghuali, crediting Fengtai authorities for their support in implementation.

Post-event, a scenario matchmaking session facilitated direct talks between officials and enterprises, yielding preliminary cooperation agreements for aligning "quality scenarios" with "cutting-edge technologies."
