Recently, rumors regarding "individual catering merchants being infected with AIDS" have circulated. In response to public concern, the County Center for Disease Control and Prevention conducted HIV tests on seven individuals, including food service operators. The test results confirmed that all seven individuals tested negative for HIV, with no AIDS virus markers detected in their blood samples.
AIDS is primarily transmitted through three routes: sexual contact, blood, and mother-to-child transmission. Daily contact behaviors such as sharing meals, shaking hands, or hugging do not spread the AIDS virus. The public is urged to understand the science, dispel panic, and acquire accurate information on AIDS prevention and control.
Citizens are strongly advised not to create, believe, or spread rumors. Individuals who maliciously fabricate or disseminate false information, intentionally disrupt public order, or cause adverse social impacts will face serious legal consequences from public security authorities in accordance with the law.
