Mayor Liu Sheng of Chaozhou held a discussion with Li Lixin, Party Secretary and Chairman of China National Chemical Engineering Donghua Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., and his delegation on December 3. The two sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on the construction of a new materials industrial park and the introduction of a graphene industry chain, while witnessing the signing of a cooperation framework agreement.
Liu Sheng, representing the Chaozhou Municipal Party Committee and government, welcomed Li Lixin and his delegation. He highlighted Chaozhou's solid industrial foundation, with distinctive traditional sectors such as ceramics and food, as well as vast potential in green energy development, including offshore wind power, photovoltaics, and pumped-storage hydropower. Currently, Chaozhou is seizing strategic opportunities in the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, driving both the revitalization of traditional industries and the cultivation of emerging sectors. The city is actively fostering strategic emerging industries like new materials and new energy to spur new productive forces and create a new growth engine for economic development.
Liu Sheng emphasized that the signing marks a crucial step in complementary advantages and strategic synergy between the two parties. He expressed hope that this would serve as a new starting point to expand cooperation in breadth and depth, accelerating the implementation of graphene and new materials projects. He praised China National Chemical Engineering Donghua for its technological expertise and industrial transformation capabilities in new materials innovation, urging the company to leverage its integrated advantages in technology and talent. By aligning with Chaozhou's port infrastructure and green energy resources, the collaboration could drive the coordinated development of new materials and new energy industries. Liu also called for the company's professional support in industrial park planning, operations management, and targeted investment attraction, while increasing its investment footprint in Chaozhou to jointly build a green, low-carbon, safe, and efficient industrial hub.
Li Lixin introduced the development history, core business, and technological strengths of China National Chemical Engineering Donghua. He noted that Chaozhou boasts robust growth momentum, clear industrial direction, and a favorable business environment, presenting abundant opportunities. The company will fully utilize its engineering expertise and industrial chain synergies to integrate "Donghua's technology" with "Chaozhou's resources," fostering a technology-driven, green, and low-carbon industrial ecosystem for mutual benefit and shared growth.
