Regulator Approves Li Yungui as Director of China Merchants Bank

On September 23, the National Financial Regulatory Administration issued an official approval, endorsing Li Yungui's qualification to serve as a director of China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd. (ASX: 3968).

According to his resume, Li Yungui was born in August 1969 and holds an MBA from the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University, along with the title of Senior Accountant. He currently serves as the Chief Accountant of China COSCO Shipping Group Co., Ltd.

Throughout his career, Li has held a series of senior financial and management roles. These include serving as Finance Director at CNOOC Gas & Power Co., Ltd., Finance Director at CNOOC Gas & Power Group Co., Ltd., Deputy General Manager and Finance Director at Shandong Haihua Group Co., Ltd., and Deputy General Manager and Finance Director at CNOOC Energy Technology & Services Limited, a company listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. He also served as General Manager of the Finance and Assets Department, General Manager of the Finance and Funds Department, General Manager of the Funds Department, and Deputy Chief Accountant at China National Offshore Oil Corporation.
