On July 23, checks revealed that Kou Zhanwen's accounts across multiple platforms have ceased updates. His Weibo account's final update was in February of this year, with content promoting the film "Biaoren".
Kou Zhanwen was born in Beijing on November 19, 1966. A graduate of the Beijing Film Academy, he is a Chinese mainland actor, director, and martial arts choreographer. He joined the Beijing Wushu Team in September 1983. His acting debut was in the 1988 film "The Romantic Swordsman". In 1994, he starred as Zhan Zhao in the period drama "The New Seven Heroes and Five Gallants".
In 2000, he appeared in the mythological comedy "The Legend of Piggy", starring Xu Zheng and Tao Hong, playing the role of Er Niu (Hou Yi). He featured in the 2001 television series "The Legendary Swordsman". In 2003, he portrayed the Tang Dynasty general Yuchi Gong in the period drama "The Legend of the Sui and Tang Heroes", directed by Hu Mingkai and Tan Youye and starring Huang Haibing and Nie Yuan. His credits in 2004 include "Lucky Piggy" and "Joyful Piggy".
In recent years, he has continued to appear in popular film and television projects. The series "Zhu Yu", in which he participated, aired in 2026. In February of the same year, the film "Biaoren", in which he had a cameo role, was released.
