Former DouYu Star Makes Rare Live Stream Appearance, Shares Insights on Retirement Lifestyle and Mental Health Journey

Deep News03-25

Last night, the long-absent streamer Erke resumed live streaming for a casual chat. During the session, a viewer asked, "Do you feel anxious these days?" Erke responded candidly, "No, I used to be a very anxious person, but not so much anymore." When another viewer expressed anxiety about financial struggles, Erke advised, "Try to be more specific—are you short on money now, or are you worried about the future? If it's the latter, I don't think there's a need to stress. Things tend to work out naturally. Just cut back on major expenses, balance your income and spending, and save a little. Don’t overthink the distant future." Later, another viewer inquired, "Have you ever gone through a period of depression?" Erke admitted, "Yes, I have. I can’t exactly explain how I got through it—maybe I just figured things out. I didn’t seek medical help or anything; I’m not sure how I overcame it, but I’m certain there was a time when I was in a depressive state." Regarding her current life, Erke appears highly content, joking, "I’ve already embraced a laid-back retirement lifestyle. If I had been born into a wealthy family, I probably wouldn’t have worked a day in my life. To me, work is just a means to earn a living—I genuinely don’t enjoy it. It’s not that I can’t endure hardship; I simply don’t want to work. Since childhood, my goal has been to become a landlady. I don’t need excessive wealth—just enough to get by comfortably."
