On August 31, 2026, the majority of domestic futures main contracts posted gains, with SC crude oil climbing more than 7%.
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and coking coal each advanced by over 6%, while methanol, propylene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), ethylene glycol (EG), and bottle-grade chips hit the daily limit, rising 6%.
On the downside, Shanghai gold and Shanghai silver both dropped by more than 3%, platinum fell over 2%, polysilicon declined by more than 1%, and cotton yarn, Shanghai nickel, and rapeseed meal edged down by nearly 1%.
