TYK Medicines-B (02410.HK) saw its share price jump more than 6% during intraday trading, currently up 5.39% to HKD 7.23, with a trading volume of HKD 17.57 million.
Qilu Pharmaceutical has secured the exclusive commercialisation rights for TYK Medicines-B's novel targeted lung cancer therapy, TY-9591. In addition, Qilu Pharmaceutical will make an equity investment in TYK Medicines-B. Through this partnership, TYK Medicines-B is entitled to receive HKD 700 million in share subscription proceeds and upfront cash payments, comprising HKD 400 million in equity investment and HKD 300 million in upfront fees. Furthermore, the company is eligible for regulatory approval and indication expansion milestone payments totalling up to HKD 2.06 billion.
According to public information, TY-9591 is a next-generation, highly selective, irreversible EGFR-TKI independently developed by TYK Medicines-B. It represents a differentiated and advantageous new lung cancer targeted drug in the domestic market. The new drug application for TY-9591 was accepted by the National Medical Products Administration in early 2026 and has been granted priority review status. It is currently in a critical stage of marketing review. Beyond monotherapy registration clinical trials, preparations for a registration trial involving a combination chemotherapy regimen have been initiated, signalling the approach of the commercialisation window.
