A collaborative investment platform for artificial intelligence in the Yangtze River Delta region was officially signed into being, with seven major institutions committing to deploy resources across Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui. The signing ceremony took place on the morning of July 19th at a forum titled "Intelligent Connection of the Yangtze River Delta, Collaborative Creation of the Future" during the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai.

The forum brought together government officials, academicians, experts, venture capital firms, and leading AI companies from the region. Key outcomes included the release of a regional industrial chain coordination list and the signing of strategic cooperation agreements for three major cross-domain AI platforms. The event aimed to foster collaborative innovation, leverage long-term capital, and build tangible platforms to cultivate new quality productive forces and establish a world-leading AI industry cluster in the Yangtze River Delta.

The signatories to the new Yangtze River Delta Artificial Intelligence Collaborative Investment Platform include the Yangtze River Delta Investment Company, the State Development & Investment Corporation, Shanghai Guotou Company, Jiangsu High-Tech Investment Group, Zhejiang State-owned Capital Company, Anhui Investment Group, and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. The agreement signifies a concerted effort by state-owned investment entities across the three provinces and one municipality to pool resources and enhance capital cooperation and industrial synergy within the AI sector.

First City-Level Green Token Factory Launches in Changzhou

Coinciding with the 2026 World AI Conference, the inaugural city-level green token factory project has been signed and will be established in Changzhou. This initiative is a collaborative effort involving seven parties: the Changzhou Municipal Data Bureau, Changzhou High-tech Zone, SPIC Integrated Energy, Shantie Digital Technology, Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group, Wangsu Technology, and Deep Power.

The project's goal is to construct a comprehensive computational-power and electricity coordination ecosystem, establishing a self-sufficient AI computing power foundation for Changzhou and creating a green computing service hub with influence across the Yangtze River Delta. Supplementary agreements were also signed for the factory's operation and for exploring innovative distributed computing-power and electricity coordination applications.

Reportedly, this project is the first of its kind to pilot an integrated suite of technologies including direct green power connection, 800V high-voltage direct current (HVDC), solid-state transformers (SST), phase-change liquid cooling, and a physical AI energy model. It leverages Changzhou's industrial strengths to explore innovative paths for deep integration of computing power and electrical power. Upon completion, the factory is expected to have an annual production capacity of 60 trillion tokens.

The collaborative framework aims to cover the entire chain from "green power supply—computing power construction—technology platform—operational services." The project boasts three core capabilities: direct green power connection with power-computing synergy, system-level optimization to overcome hardware bottlenecks, and significant efficiency improvements for optimal resource utilization. It is projected to increase computing resource utilization from the industry average of 30-40% to over 65%, boosting equivalent token output by 62.5% and significantly enhancing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of token supply.

Lane Closures Scheduled for G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway

Authorities including the Anhui Transportation Holding Group, the Anhui Expressway Road Administration Brigade, and the Anqing Public Security Traffic Management Detachment have issued a notice regarding upcoming construction on the G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway. To facilitate the expansion project on the Huaining to Susong section within Anqing and ensure traffic safety, the innermost lane (first lane) in both directions on the segment from Gezidun Junction to the Anhui-Hubei border (K523-K633) will be closed.

The adjacent lane (second lane) will remain open for traffic. The lane closure for construction is scheduled from July 20, 2026, to September 28, 2026. Drivers are advised to check traffic information in advance and plan their travel times and alternative routes accordingly during this period.
