During a recent interview, Byd Company Limited Executive Vice President Li Ke made a bold statement about the future of the automotive industry: "In China, with the widespread adoption of BYD's flash charging technology, I believe gasoline vehicles have no future, and this is very clear." She went on to note that while the electric vehicle transition in other global regions may take a few more years, the ultimate outcome will be the same.
Li Ke also shared that the company is planning to introduce vehicles equipped with solid-state batteries in 2027. This move is seen as a significant step in the automaker's ongoing efforts to lead the market in innovative battery technology.
According to reports, the executive's comments underscore BYD's confidence in its rapid-charging capabilities and the broader shift towards sustainable mobility solutions.
