Yongkang's Business Support Services Drive Steady Enterprise Growth

Deep News08-07

Under the coordinated efforts of the Yongkang Municipal Bureau of Commerce, a series of specialized and targeted business support activities have been conducted in recent days. These initiatives focus on core needs such as brand globalization, wealth management, and operational development, precisely addressing enterprise pain points to fully bolster the stable and high-quality growth of Yongkang's hardware industry.

As more local hardware companies expand into overseas markets, they commonly face challenges like difficulty in vetting service providers, non-standardized contracts, high operational costs, and a lack of inspection criteria. On August 5, the "Create Hardware, Worry-Free Support" series event, featuring a diagnostic session for brand globalization in the Yongkang industrial belt, was held at the Municipal E-Commerce Public Service Center. This event aimed to empower local export-oriented companies and reduce their risks. Targeting the pain points of going global, the session invited a seasoned overseas social media operations expert to provide training on vetting service providers, contract compliance, project acceptance, and risk mitigation. The expert also analyzed overseas customer acquisition opportunities, procurement decision-making logic, common pitfalls, and real cost structures, using case studies to guide companies in selecting partners, controlling costs, and standardizing operations.

Jin Xinkang, Vice President of the Jinhua Chamber of Commerce with years of experience in Nigeria, also shared his practical insights, offering valuable guidance for local companies exploring emerging markets. On the same day, Alibaba International Station's Jinhua Special Zone held an "AI Evolution, Peak Growth" session for the September sourcing festival, with over 260 local foreign trade representatives attending. The event focused on AI application skills for hardware categories to help companies secure overseas orders.

While supporting companies in going global, the city also emphasizes improving internal management efficiency. On August 6, the "Jinhui Gathering, Wealth Together" salon event, organized by the Jinhua branch of China Merchants Bank, was held in Yongkang, with over ten local companies participating. Jin Chenchen, Director of the E-Commerce Center at the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, presented the city's e-commerce support policies, covering subsidies for platform operations, warehousing rent, cross-border independent sites, overseas warehouses, international exhibitions, and export credit insurance. She detailed the application process to help companies leverage these benefits, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. The bank team also shared insights on wealth management and fund optimization, guiding companies in standardizing financial operations, managing risks, and achieving steady asset growth.

To institutionalize business support, the Bureau of Commerce has launched the "Wednesday E-Commerce Special Tour" service brand. This program features regular weekly tours to various towns and districts to promote trade policies and provide industrial training. Companies interested in participating can register with their local town or district economic development office. The August schedule for the "Wednesday E-Commerce Special Tour" is as follows: August 12 at the High-Tech Industrial Park, August 19 at Dongcheng Street, and August 26 at Xicheng Street.

Additionally, the city has rolled out the "Action Plan for Growing Start-up E-Commerce Companies" as part of the "Create Hardware, Worry-Free Support" service system. Targeting e-commerce startups and entrepreneurs operating for less than two years, the plan offers a "plug-and-play, full support" approach, covering registration, product selection, logistics, finance, and policy applications. It also integrates housing support: the headquarters provides free office space (up to 100 sqm for the first year) for start-ups founded by college graduates with a bachelor's degree within two years of graduation; the industrial investment group offers a "first three months rent-free, next three months half-price" policy for office and production warehousing; and the city construction group provides discounts on apartment rentals and waives property management fees for the first year for e-commerce talent. This addresses key challenges like start-up difficulties, operational issues, financing hurdles, and infrastructure gaps.
