Two New High-Speed Rail Pairs Added Between Beijing and Changbai Mountain on January 26

Deep News01-16

On January 16, it was learned from China Railway Beijing Group Co., Ltd. that starting from 12:00 AM on January 26, the company will implement a new train operation schedule. It was noted that two new pairs of high-speed EMU trains will be added between Beijing Chaoyang Station and Changbai Mountain, providing a solid transportation foundation for the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China. This enhancement will make travel and economic exchanges between areas along the route, such as Changbai Mountain, Tonghua, and Fushun, and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region more convenient.

Concurrently, optimizations have been made to main trunk lines, resulting in a significant increase in the transport capacity of the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway. Five additional pairs of passenger trains have been added, and the number of Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway trains extending to Beijing Station has increased from four to six pairs, further strengthening interconnectivity. The Beijing-Shanghai line adds 5.5 pairs of flagship trains, and the Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway adds 3.5 pairs, operating on a "fewer stops, higher speed" model to improve travel efficiency.

Of particular note, after the G375/80 service from Shijiazhuang to Shanghai Hongqiao is adjusted to G1211/20, it will operate at the high standard of 350 km/h on the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway section, stopping at only four stations including Hengshui North and Jinan West. The fastest travel time from Shijiazhuang to Shanghai is now 4 hours and 56 minutes, achieving a sub-five-hour journey for the first time and further accelerating the connection between the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Yangtze River Delta regions.

Furthermore, with the full opening of the Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway, China Railway Beijing Group has added 8.5 pairs of passenger trains operating via the Beijing-Baotou Passenger Dedicated Line and the Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway. The fastest travel time from Beijing North Station to Yinchuan is now 6 hours and 22 minutes, and from Qinghe Station to Yinchuan is 6 hours and 18 minutes. Additionally, a new EMU train service has been added from Beijing North Station to Xining, strengthening the links between North China and the Northwest region.
