In response to reports that the U.S. has accused Chinese AI companies of "copying" American technology, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning stated at a routine press conference on the 9th that the development of China's artificial intelligence is a result of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance, and also benefits from China's consistent adherence to the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits, as well as open cooperation.
We have always believed that all parties should strengthen cooperation to promote the open, inclusive, beneficial, and virtuous development of artificial intelligence, serving the well-being of all humanity.
It is hoped that the U.S. side can earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and refrain from making unfounded accusations and defamation against China.
Both China and the U.S. are major powers in artificial intelligence and should enhance cooperation.
