NVIDIA's Vera Rubin Platform Embraces Full Liquid Cooling, Opening New Avenues for Stainless Steel Bellows

NVIDIA has announced that its Vera Rubin platform will utilize comprehensive liquid cooling technology. According to a post on NVIDIA's official blog, the Vera Rubin platform features a "cable-free, hose-free, fan-free" design, employing rigid metal manifolds or bellows as the standard fluid delivery solution for liquid cooling. This approach is designed to ensure the long-term stable operation of ultra-high-power-density racks under immersion cooling.

Industry insiders suggest that with the accelerating iteration speed of AI computing power, the adoption of rigid metal manifolds/bellows in NVIDIA's Vera Rubin architecture is primarily due to metal tubing meeting the multiple stringent requirements for high-power immersion liquid cooling.

Public information indicates that several listed companies, including Sobute New Materials Co.,Ltd. and Jiangsu Wuyang Automatic Control Technology Co., Ltd., have entered the stainless steel bellows market through various strategic moves.

Sobute New Materials Co.,Ltd.'s wholly-owned subsidiary, Jiangsu Daocheng Stainless Steel Pipe Industry Co., Ltd., is a provider of stainless steel piping system solutions. The company focuses on the R&D, production, and sales of stainless steel piping system products ranging from DN15 to DN1200. Its product lines have been successfully applied across diverse sectors including water utilities, civil construction, municipal water supply, healthcare, education, hospitality, municipal complexes, subways, high-speed rail, nuclear power, and airports.

Among its offerings, the company's precision stainless steel pipes undergo surface treatment processes such as internal and external weld flattening, surface roughness control, and cleanliness enhancement. These processes achieve high precision (Ra<0.4μm), high surface finish (above 6K), and high cleanliness (purged with nitrogen and packaged in cleanrooms), with outer diameters from DN10 to DN100. These products are widely used in critical fields demanding high cleanliness, such as high-purity gas production, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, and biotechnology.

Jiangsu Wuyang Automatic Control Technology Co., Ltd. has entered this field through an acquisition. The company previously announced its intention to acquire a 51% stake in Dongguan Kesiyu Liquid Cooling Technology Co., Ltd. Public information shows that Kesiyu focuses on the R&D, production, and sales of stainless steel bellows, water distributors, and cold plates, providing core component support for servers.
