China's domestic fuel prices are set to increase effective 24:00 on July 31, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
Since the last price adjustment on July 17, international crude oil markets have experienced volatile swings, with prices surging, then falling, before rising again recently. The average price over the latest 10 working days is higher than the average over the previous 10 working days.
Based on these international market changes, starting from 24:00 on July 31, the price per tonne of gasoline and diesel (standard product) will rise by 685 yuan and 655 yuan, respectively. Nationally, the per-liter increases for 92-octane gasoline, 95-octane gasoline, and 0-diesel are expected to be 0.54 yuan, 0.57 yuan, and 0.56 yuan. Filling a 50-liter tank with 92-octane gasoline will cost an additional 27 yuan.
The Shaanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission has subsequently issued a notice detailing the province's adjusted retail prices. The new prices will take effect at 24:00 on July 31, 2026, as stipulated by the Petroleum Price Management Measures and the NDRC's announcement.
