CHINA LIT shares surge over 3% on robust IP business performance, short drama and AI comic revenue up 230% in first half

CHINA LIT (00772) shares surged over 3%, trading at HK$21.4 as of press time, up 3.18%, with a turnover of HK$43.3 million.

In the first half of this year, the company reported revenue of 3.531 billion yuan, up 10.7% year-on-year, while gross profit reached 1.792 billion yuan, increasing 11.15% from the same period last year. Notably, the IP operations business delivered strong performance, with revenue surging 41.9% year-on-year during the period.

The short drama and AI comic segments, in particular, generated over 430 million yuan in revenue in the first half, a 2.3-fold increase year-on-year. The hit rate for short dramas was four times the industry average, while 46 AI comic series had surpassed 100 million views each. The IP derivative business also maintained robust growth, with gross merchandise value reaching 780 million yuan in the first half, up more than 60% year-on-year.
