Deep News05-28

Clinical-stage biotechnology firm Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: RIGL) announced today that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Raul Rodriguez, will present at the Jefferies Global Healthcare Conference. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in New York, with the presentation beginning at 8:45 a.m. Eastern Time.

Rigel is a commercial-stage biotechnology company focused on blood disorders and cancer. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in South San Francisco, the company currently markets three products: TAVALISSE (fostamatinib, an oral spleen tyrosine kinase inhibitor for chronic immune thrombocytopenia), GAVRETO (pralsetinib for non-small cell lung cancer), and REZLIDHIA (olutasidenib for relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia with an IDH1 mutation).

According to its first-quarter financial report released in May 2026, Rigel reported total revenue of $58.8 million. Net product sales reached $54.9 million, a 26% increase year-over-year. Sales of TAVALISSE were $37.3 million, up 31%; REZLIDHIA sales were $8.0 million, also up 31%; and GAVRETO sales were $9.6 million, a 7% increase. The company achieved a net income of $8.7 million, or $0.44 per share. As of March 31, Rigel held cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments totaling $146.7 million.

Regarding its development pipeline, Rigel is advancing a Phase 1b study of R289, a novel IRAK1/IRAK4 dual inhibitor, in patients with lower-risk myelodysplastic syndromes. The company anticipates completing enrollment for the dose expansion phase and selecting a recommended Phase 2 dose in the second half of 2026. Additionally, final data from five pivotal studies for REZLIDHIA have been previously reported, demonstrating durable efficacy and a manageable safety profile in patients with IDH1-mutated AML.

For the full year 2026, Rigel reaffirmed its total revenue guidance of $275 million to $290 million. This includes net product sales of $255 million to $265 million and contract revenue of $20 million to $25 million. The company also confirmed its expectation to achieve full-year net income profitability in 2026 while continuing to fund its existing and new clinical development programs.

The conference presentation will be webcast live and can be accessed via the Investors section of Rigel's website. A replay will be available at the same location following the live event.
